Big Green Credientials
A couple of days ago the candidates showed their green credentials regarding the environment, and today they’re showing their green credentials regarding fundraising. The AP says via WBZ that in the reporting period just closed, Coakley raised almost $2 million on top of the $2 million she’d already brought in. She proves she’s not just collecting from the routine democratic donors and groups like Emily’s list. Rather, she’s building a powerful & committed base.

Fundraiser — Emphasis on Fun
The contribution I made to attend the Coakley fundraiser last night was the highest per-song rate I’ve ever paid to hear Livingston Taylor, and worth every penny. Having recently claimed that he supports a military draft and then clarifying that he does not support a military draft, Stephen Pagliuca is at it again. Jessica Van Sack of the Herald is reporting that mere hours after the draft-or-not episode, Pagliuca told the audience at a Harvard forum that:
I’d put limits probably on personal money that you can have in an election… [Read more →]

Informative AND Witty
I’ve tried for several hours to think of a post for the day that could compete with Mr. Kennedy Seat. But I concede. Today, he’s both informative AND witty, and I can only bow to his brilliance. The informative:
- Caps has only 52% favorables in Suffolk County (Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Chelsea), which he represents in Congress – probably not a good sign.
- Coakley has 75% favorables in Suffolk County [Read more →]

Will Pelosi Help or Hurt Capuano?

The WomenForCoakley e-mail lines are burning up with questions about Pelosi’s endorsement of Capuano, and primary among them is: Will it help him or hurt him? A New York Times blog recently reported that Pelosi’s popularity is dismally low; only 34% of Californians approve of the job Pelosi’s doing, whereas 44% disapprove. So will her approval of him be a lift or a drag? [Read more →]
